Plasticwise is a grassroots, community-based movement gaining momentum across Australia. Our network supports and inspires local communities to be waste and plastic-wise. Each branch is autonomous and therefore different, but we share a common goal: to embolden locals to reduce | reuse | recycle | repair | share. We do this by developing and supporting community-based initiatives – from bag libraries to giant light sculptures, and everything in between. If it sounds like fun, that’s because it is! Come and join us and be part of the solution.
Everyone is welcome to start their own Plasticwise branch. There is no fee or commitment, and no strings attached. We particularly encourage young people to get involved, as it provides a rare opportunity to see how government works, to learn business skills and work in a team, all while creating real solutions for your future.
